Horse Protector
I am the one who is always with you, yet
I am the one you cannot see.
For I am the color of the full moon’s shadows
Fleeting shades of starlight through the trees.
I am the one who dwells in your spirit.
I am the sacred velvety breeze.
For I am your bold wildness. Bucking. Primal.
Your language in my muscle and bone, flows with ease.
I am the one you so often speak to,
I am your whispered song of night.
For I am the listener of your fears and dreams,
Your keeper of truths, protector of your light.
